Thermoteknix Launch MIRICLE® 640 x 480 VGA resolution miniature infrared camera with 25 micron pitch

Surveillance - Military - Security - UAV - Aerospace - Scientific - R&D - Process Control  Thermoteknix announce its latest innovation in thermal imaging which will be launched at the SPIE Defense & Security Symposium in Orlando, Florida - April 19th, 2006. The MIRICLE® 307K is expected to be the most exciting infrared camera of the year incorporating an uncooled alpha-Silicon microbolometer detector packaged in a 1.5inch electronics cube. This breakthrough technology is aimed at both commercial and military applications where its ultra-compact size and rugged, environmentally protected housing are ideal for day and night surveillance and security systems.  The MIRICLE 307K joins the Thermoteknix MIRICLE 110K family of uncooled miniature thermal imaging cameras where its 640 x 480, 307,200 pixel detector with 25 micron pitch extend the scope, range and applications of today’s fast growing security and surveillance markets. Offering greater detection at further distances and with smaller and lower cost optics, the MIRICLE 307K Infrared Camera produces outstanding imagery in total darkness, unaffected by smoke or fog. Its fourfold increase in pixel power over the industry standard 320 x 240 detector based cameras produces spectacular quality imaging. In common with the MIRICLE Infrared Camera family range, the will be available in a choice of housings including hermetically sealed, gas purged and ruggedized for unattended field or aerial use. Flexible lens arrangements include bayonet interchangeable and threaded mounts with lens options from wide angle to telephoto and dual field of view available. The will be available in fully assembled camera units for end-users as well as a range of custom engine and core configurations, including Thermoteknix unique silent, low profile shutter, for OEM, system designers and integrators.  Thermoteknix MIRICLE Infrared Camera electronics provide automatic non-uniformity correction, a range of auto-gain algorithms to suit different types of terrain as well as real-time spatial filtering and image processing for rapid feature identification within the camera itself.
